2022 Virginia Elks Association Youth Camp

The Winchester Elks #867 is sponsoring 16 boys and 16 girls to attend the 2022 Virginia Elks Association Youth Camp. The camp is held at the VA Elks Youth Camp located at 145 Youth Camp Drive, Millboro, VA, 24460. This program is for children who are the ages of 8 through 13 by the date of camp. The dates of the camp are girls July 3rd -July 9th, 2022, and boys camp dates are July 17th through July 23rd.

The Virginia Elks Youth Camp, in continuous operation since 1950, is for deserving girls and boys of the Commonwealth of Virginia who will spend 7 days and 6 nights participating in an action packed, fun filled week. The campers will participate in activities including basketball, volleyball, softball, swimming, fishing, canoeing, and team building skills. Instructions in cheer-leading, modern dance, singing, painting and crafts are activities enjoyed by the girls as well as the sports programs.

The large dining hall is used for program activities on rainy days, plus the camp provides a fine craft opportunity featuring leatherwork items. Opening and closing campfires, along with other camp-wide events, such as "earth ball", candy carnival, staff hunt, and water carnival are enjoyed by all.

A trained staff of 25 men and women handles the administration and program. The staff includes Camp Director and Assistant, Program Director, Waterfront Director, Arts & Crafts Counselor, Program Counselors, Dining Hall Steward plus full-time nurse and 13 cabin counselors.  All activities are under close supervision of trained and qualified staff members.

The camp provides a learning experience for the boys and girls in attendance at NO COST to you the parent/guardian. If you would like an opportunity to enroll your child in the Virginia Elks Association Youth Camp, you must have your application submitted to Michelle Ritter by the end of the business day on June 18th, 2022.

Due to the large demand for this camp, please register early, we can only accommodate a limited number of campers. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Your application can be emailed to m_ritter@live.com or left with the bartender on duty.
If you have questions, please contact Michelle Ritter at 540-535-9173.
